I am a first-year PhD student in the Department of Computer Science (CS), at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), advised by Dr. Charith Mendis.
Broadly speaking, my research interests are: compilers, low-level programming, performance-critical programming and computer architecture. More specifically, I am interested in opening the black boxes that we call compilers in order to give more power to the user and external tools.
Before coming to UIUC, I worked a compiler researcher at NEC and I was also involved with the Liberty Research Group from Princeton. I obtained my B.Sc. from the Department of Informatics, University of Athens, where I did my thesis with Dr. Yannis Smaragdakis.
